BORDENTOWN

Bordentown is comprised of Bordentown City and Bordentown Township. Bordentown City was settled in 1682 and became a trade center for the region. The small town has been home to many notable residents: Francis Hopkinson, Thomas Paine, Clara Barton, and Joseph Bonaparte, brother to Napoleon. Today’s, “little city with a lot of charm” has a vibrant main street with shopping, art galleries and plenty of fantastic restaurants. Adjacent Bordentown Township surrounds the quaint, walkable historic town of Bordentown City. Bordentown Township consists of neighborhoods, eateries, shopping centers and farmland.
